Actually, um, hold on. I’m not done yet. Because I also want for you to be happy. It’s really important for me that you be happy. So I want you to be with someone, whether it be Dawson or New York guy or some man that you haven’t even met yet. But I want you to be with someone who can be a part of the life that you want for yourself. I want you to be with someone who makes you feel like I feel when I’m with you. So, I guess the point to this long run-on sentence that’s been the last 10 years of our lives is just that the simple act of being in love with you is enough for me. So you’re off the hook.

i love that when pacey first noticed and appreciated joey was when she was being herself. even though they were getting on each other’s nerves and what not, he noticed and appreciated who she truly was. and it took dawson her being all dolled up for him to really notice her. she even says it. the lipstick and the hair and all that, that’s not her. and i just think it’s interesting that her best friend of however long needed that to happen to really notice/appreciate her, and the guy she couldn’t stand saw it after spending one day with her.
Joey: When we’re around other people, we pretend like nothing’s changed. And then the minute we’re alone, it turns into this.
Pacey: This what?
Joey: Well, this… embarrassing grope-fest.
